About US

Two bedroom Two bath home located on beautiful St George Island Florida USA

 The master bedroom has a queen bed, a walk-in closet, tv, chest of drawers, and a full (shower-tub) bath


The guest bedroom has two full beds, a walk-in closet, chest of drawers, and a full (shower-tub) bath


The home sleeps 4 adults. additional guests may be permitted with owners approval.  I just want everyone to know the sleeping arrangements for more than 4 guests  so that everyone is comfortable during their stay.

 

The home has a complete kitchen with a stove top cooking island that seats 6 comfortably, a refrigerator, oven, microwave, double sink, garbage disposal, and dish washer.  It is well stocked with pots, pans, casserole dishes, flatware, cups and glasses.  In addition there are 2 crockpots, a coleman grill, a pancake grill, a seafood boiling pot, coffee maker, popcorn popper, a blender and a food processor.


Under the house is a laundry room with washer and dryer, 2 charcoal grills and a grilling area, a fish cleaning station and a fully enclosed shower with hot and cold water.


The front deck is partially covered, spacious, with two chase lounges for sunning, and a table with four chairs that often are used for dinning.  It is a great place to relax.

Pet Friendly

 MY HOME IS PET FRIENDLY AS IS THE BEACH. 


The beach is approximately 200 yards from the house, a three minute walk.  There is a wooden walkway over the dunes to the beach which has been rated the number two beach in the US.


There is a leash law for pets on the beach but often there are so few people on the beach that the dogs are let free to run the beach and play in the waves.


WIRELESS WIFI AND CABLE TV IS AVAILALBE AT NO CHARGE 


ISLAND ACTIVITIES


A paved walking/biking trail is in front of the house.  It extends through the central part of the island (approximately four miles)  Bicycle and golf cart rentals are available on the island. Enjoy a morning walk coffee in hand doves cooing in the live oaks.  You will likely even hear a rooster crow.


The St. George Lighthouse is located in the middle of the island.  It is Awesome. Night tours to the top of the lighthouse are held on the full moon.  You can just imagine the beauty.  A play area for children is adjacent to the Lighthouse.


The commercial area of the island is central and less than a mile from the house.  It has two small grocery stores, several restaurants,  novelty shops, and fresh local seafood vendors. If you get there early enough you can get freshly baked donuts from the bakery.


Wildlife and kayak tours are available on the island along with fishing guide services.  The pristine bays and beaches are nature at its finest.


The fishing is at times outstanding whether fishing in the surf in front of the house, fishing from the long fishing bridges in the bay, or hiring guide services


Apalachicola is a quaint fishing village on the mainland.  It has several gourmet restaurants, riverside dinning, novelty shops, and several neat museums and historical sites.  You can spend hours taking it its quaint uniqueness.


There are two unique golf courses within a 45 minute drive of the island both are cut into the estuary landscape.



No Service Fees

Return renters and military receive a 5% discount and return renters who refer my home to others who subsequently rent with me will receive an additional 5% discount on their next reservation.


The only fee that I request is a $100 pet cleaning fee per pet. Please let me know if you will be bringing a pet.


It is required that all pets are treated for fleas prior to their visit....


No other fees will be assessed.


RENTAL RATES


Rental rates and minimum stay requirements are established on a seasonal basis.


All monthly and weekly rentals are from SATURDAY TO SATURDAY


Winter Rates:

Begin the first Saturday in November and run until the last Friday in February.

         Monthly rate $2750/month

         Weekly rate    $850/week


Thanksgiving and Christmas weeks are $1100 each


Early Spring Rates

Begin the Last Saturday in February and end the Second Friday in March

 Weekly rate $1150/week


Spring Break Rates

Begin the Second Saturday in March and end the Second Friday in May

         Weekly Rate $1400


Late Spring Rates

Begin the second Saturday in April and end the Friday before Memorial Day in May.

          Weekly Rate $1150


Summer Rates

Begin the Saturday before Memorial Day in May and end the second Friday  in August 

          Weekly Rate $1400


Fall Rates

Begin the second Saturday in August and end the first Friday in November.

Initial payment is 50% of total rent.  To determine total rent contact me or just add seasonal rate plus pet fee if applicable plus 9% State and Local taxes. Once initial payment is sent, I will send you by email a rental agreement for your protection that will explain final payment and/or cancellation procedures. Reservation Procedure

Payment Cancellation and Weather Policies

Payment 


I.  Check calendar to assure that your dates are available or email me for assurance.

2.  Check the seasonal rates to assure you have the proper rate and add 9% state and local taxes or request a quote.

3.  50% of the total rent is due to reserve the property.  The balance is due 30 days before your arrival.

4.  If you wish to pay by credit card, use the pay pal service on this website.

      If you wish to pay by check or money order, email me so that I can save your dates and mail the check or money order to David B. Wagner 1989 Cypress Lake Road, Statesboro, GA 30458

5.  Upon notice that you wish to rent my home, I will email to you a rental agreement.


Cancellation Policy


1.  If you cancel within 30 days of your arrival, I will refund your deposiI.

2.  If you cancel after 30 days of your arrival I will retain the initial 50% payment.  If the home subsequently rents for those dates, I will give you a full refund if not, I will retain 50% of the initial payment.


Inclement Weather Policy


Should the island be under a voluntary or mandatory evacuation due to weather conditions, and you exacuate, I will reimburse you for all days of your vacation that you did not stay in my home.
